Synhelion wins SDG Innovation Award in Munich
Cleantech startup Synhelion received the SDG Innovation Award 2025, in recognition of its innovation solution transform solar energy into renewable fuel to directly replace fossil fuels. It is fully compatible with the existing global fuel infrastructure. This fuel is produced at DAWN (in Germany), the first industrial-scale demonstration plant and RISE in Spain. Both allow the company to produce multiple tons of renewable kerosene, diesel, and gasoline per year. The first projects have already demonstrated the potential of this renewable fuel – a car and an aircraft have been fueled with solar gasoline for the first time ever. This has resulted in a long-term partnership with the SWISS International airlines. The SDG Innovation award strengthens the company’s mission to bring renewable fuels to global scale while contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
